Trinidad Scorpion Chocolate is a superhot variety described as, “a mellower, less acidic flavor with smoky undertones and a hint of earthy sweetness,” when compared to the Trinidad Moruga Scorpion.
My daughter really liked this one. Puddles of evil chile oil lurk inside this beast. I have been trying to identify this more exactly, as it is smooth and not bumpy/round Chinese lantern-shaped as some of the versions I have seen. Apparently there is a Trinidad Scorpion Moruga Chocolate, which I have seen as both bumpy/lantern and elongated/smooth. There is a mix with the 7-Pot types as well…these seem to be the ones that should be bumpy and lantern shaped, as that is what the 7-Pots look like. Even calling it plain Trinidad Scorpion Chocolate can be confusing, as some insist on calling it Chocolate Trinidad Scorpion.
Anyway, here it is in all of its diabolical beauty. I have a dozen bagged bloom fruits for seed harvest, which has allowed me to offer 10+ seeds per packet.
