Black Prince – Highly productive, meaty, juicy, and pretty tomatoes. Indeterminate, regular leaf plants yield lot of dark chocolate brown 3-7 ounce mostly round shaped fruit that have brownish green shoulders. It has an excellent taste that gives a hint of sweetness and a nice touch of acidity. The blossom end usually has shows a dark red color. I recommend it for salads and for canning.

According to Andrey Baranovski of Minsk, Belarus, this tomato is originally from the European part of Russia (former Soviet Union), and it was also grown in Siberia. It is thought to have been introduced by several members in the SSE 1995 Yearbook, most of them note CV Nichols Garden Nursery as the seed source.
