Campari OP is a variety of our friend Ted (Muddy Bucket Farm). I wanted to try to carry on the varieties he particularly liked, and this is one of them. Ted’s original description stated, “This is a dehybridized version of the original hybrid and the taste, color, and shape have been captured well. This is one of the great flavors in tomatoes. Meaty and juicy, this works well in salads or as a canner. Two inch fruits on a somewhat compact vine keeps the fruit coming on trusses holding from 9 to 13 fruits on average.” Campari OP struggled somewhat in my heat, so I did not get the productivity that he did. I will try to set it out earlier next year to increase the crop. For this season, one packet per order please.
