“Cloister Meal” (Monastyrskaya Trapeza; Монастырская Трапеза) produces medium to large salad/slicer fruits of sunny orange. The flavor is more sweet than acid, and I am placing this one among my top favorites in the orange tomato category in this season’s “Grande Trial of the Oranges.” 😊 Cloister Meal is a Russian tomato variety, and it does bring a bit of confusion for me. The translated description clearly states that this is a determinate plant; however, it is described in the vendor listing as indeterminate. I didn’t pay close enough attention to the internodes to say at this point if it is determinate or indeterminate. I will go with the vendor’s listing for now. Cloister Meal was juicier and a much better producer for me than Queen Marbena, but I would compare these two as a bit similar in size and shape.
