Corno di Capra pepper is said to be a native variety to Lucania, part of Campania (Salerno and Avellino), Calabria and part of Puglia. There seems to be a variance in these peppers, with a sweet/no heat version and a spicy (piccante) version. Some of the seed packets of the spicy version do show the word “piccante” (not “picante”) at the bottom of the variety name. This is the version with mild to medium heat. The walls are thin, making this a great frying and grilling pepper.
