Dwarf Scarlet Heart” field notes: Red, small heart, blunt heart or oblate. Determinate. Very heavy production on compact plant. Very good flavor, maybe too juicy for sauces. Standout.

Comments by the Dwarf Tomato Project:

Dwarf Scarlet Heart. This variety originated with a cross between Anna Banana Russian and Roza Vetrov made by Patrina Nuske Small in 2007 and named Nosey. Dwarf Scarlet Heart was selected and named by Linda Black. The vigorous regular leaf dwarf plants produce heavy yields of distinctly heart shaped red tomatoes that range from 4-8 ounces, possessing a well balanced, full, delicious flavor. Involved are Patrina Nuske Small, Craig LeHoullier, Linda Black, Laurie Sutherland, and Nancy Ruhl. The starting seed sample was grown and provided by Bill Minkey.
