“Ukrainka” is an indeterminate, regular leaf plant that delivers lots of heart-shaped 7-14 oz very meaty fruit. Great taste that is fully complex and a slightly sweet finish. This is a great find. Actually an unknown, unnamed variety from Ukraine. I was sent seed by Marina Kirishcheva who lives in the Bryansk region of Russia in December 2012. Marina got the seed from Elena Rizvanova, who said that her friends brought these tomatoes to her from the Ukraine, and she did not know what they were called, but that they tasted good. Marina called it “Ukrainka” and we agree that this one really tastes good. I use it in juice and as a slicer for sandwiches and salads.
