“Wow!” or the “Wow Cherry” seems to be the official name for this variety. But since Fedco created it, I always see it listed as “Wow! Fedco Cherry.” Anyway, Fedco's site at one time described this cherry as: “A selection from Relentless’ SunWine group with Brandywine, SunGold F1 and a grape tomato in the parentage. Released commercially in 2009 by Fedco Seeds and Johnny's Selected Seeds in F6 generation.”
When you taste it you will likely say some version of “Wow” as well. The flavor is a strong and fruity punch. I liked it best a tiny bit under-ripe, as the fully ripe flavor was a bit strong for me, just as Jaune Flamme (Flammee) is.
The plant is long and lanky. It makes a tall plant, but not bushy. Definitely plan to cage or stack cages. The foliage is darker green than others, and the most interesting looking swirl patterns show through the epidermis, especially visible in the green stage.
