For this reason, you may also see it called \u201cSaitama Ao Daimaru\u201d; however, these are the same thing. You will want to harvest this fruit before the pale jade green gains a yellow or lime cast. The flesh is smooth with relatively few seeds. The name roughly translates to \u201cbig blue round(ed).\u201d The \u201cblue\u201d in this case historically referred to a pale blue-green, rather than to a deep purple anthocyanin as we call \u201cblue\u201d tomatoes.
