    \u201cMarcus’ Meatball\u201d is a Bunny Hop Seeds original creation. Marcus’ Meatball developed from the cross that produced Prime Rib. I don\u2019t normally want to pursue varieties that are quite similar to each other from the same cross, but Meatball has emerged through the years as a different variety. It is not a large squatty beefsteak as Prime Rib is. Marcus’ Meatball is a medium chocolate, more rounded beefsteak. Even with this difference I would not have introduced it as a new variety, except that it had some pretty impressive reviews from a gentleman who helped me with the growout. Here are his comments throughout the growing season (I promise I did not pay him to write these nice things!):<\/p>\n

    \u201cI just can’t say enough about Meatball.\u00a0 It has disease resistance like a Sherman tank. The production is off the charts. Rosa de Falula finally gave up on me last week.\u00a0 While Meatball keeps going and going.\u201d<\/p>\n

    \u201cThe reason I wanted to email you is a comment that my mother made.\u00a0 She asked if I could grow her that \u2018new tasty tomato\u2019.\u00a0 Well, then I made reference to Carolina Dusk.\u00a0 She said no not that one.\u00a0 The little dark tomato…MEATBALL!! I’ll need at least three plants.\u00a0 When she’s eating \u2018a favorite tomato\u2019.\u00a0 Hands off her tomatoes.\u00a0 Two for her.\u00a0 One for me to harvest seeds.\u201d<\/p>\n
