But this is a great tomato! It was one of my favorites from this season. Indoor Surprise was an outstanding performer as a paste of all the pastes I have grown.<br \/>\nIndoor Surprise is extremely meaty and has a good, strong flavor at full ripeness. Two things in addition were very important to me and made it a standout paste in my garden. The first is that it is a compact (like a dwarf but without rugose leaves and a tree-like growth pattern), yet prolific. This variety topped at 30 inches in my 5 gallon pot.
