Originally, the seeds, without name, were sent to HSL from a member in Taunton. In November 2014, HSL asked its members to come up with a fitting name for what they were currently simply calling “Orange.” In 2015, member James Pollard’s entry was chosen, “Cape Teaser.” A published quote from Mr. Pollard explains his name choice, “Because it’s (cap)able of surving pathogens and the cold and it looks like a Cape Goosberry (Physallis). Teaser because it’s not a Cape Goosebeery, Ha ha! It’s also the same size as a mal(teaser).” My seeds came from a fellow avid tomato grower in Denmark.
This is a hardy and tough little plant. I grew this one in nearly pure sand with little water, as I simply ran out of room to plant all of the currant varieties I had, and I knew that they can normally take a bit more harsh conditions than my pampered beefsteaks. Cape Teaser covered itself with tiny orange jewels, and continued to produce into the period where the majority of my tomato plants die in the heat and rain.

[17,35,12

0":"post-3439","1":"product","2":"type-product","3":"status-publish","4":"has-post-thumbnail","6":"product_cat-orange","7":"product_cat-cherry-grape","8":"product_cat-bunny-hop-seeds","10":"first","11":"instock","12":"shipping-taxable","13":"purchasable","14":"product-type-simple
["GET
