It was a very early variety for me, and produced over a longer period of time that tomatoes normally do in my climate. A very nice lady from Denmark provided my original seeds, and she obtained her seeds from a very nice lady in Germany. \u201cOpa&#8217;s Liebling\u201d appears to be a German name, with a translation something like &#8220;Grandfather&#8217;s Favorite.&#8221; It is now one of my own favorites, because the size and flavor make this my #1 daily eating tomato. Many are the times that I want just one tomato to make a sandwich\u2026but am left with half of a large tomato to put in the refrigerator, which ruins the flavor, to save for another use. These are the perfect size for a single sandwich (not a Dagwood sandwich!), and the small cores make for no waste.
