A gentleman in our gardening forum (scientist, brewer, gardener, and backyard chicken farmer) donated seeds for this variety to our annual trade event in 2017. He wrote, “I have obtained a large packet of seed (several years old, several hundred seeds) with the following description from an acquaintance who obtained it from an Indian immigrant: ‘unknown landrace from a co-worker’s granny’s village in Gujarat. It had abundant 2-inch slightly lobed fruit, very flavorful and juicy – ideal for Indian recipes.’ Supposedly does very well in heat…I will call it: Krishna’s Gujarat Village.”
As far as I can tell, this is a determinate variety. The fruits match the description given, being a bit lobed and 2-3” across. They are red and oblate. The flavor is very assertive, with a juicy acid punch. I can definitely see this tomato being a star performer in the ethnic foods of India. It did perform well in hot and humid conditions.

[8,31,47,40,97,58,12

post-6090","product","type-product","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","product_cat-red-tomatoes","product_cat-beefsteak","product_cat-ribbed-fluted","product_cat-heat-set-tomatoes","product_cat-special-humidity-and-heat-tolerant-collection","product_cat-compact-varieties","product_cat-bunny-hop-seeds","first","instock","shipping-taxable","purchasable","product-type-simple
["GET
