“Venus” is a pretty golden yellow-fruited micro-dwarf variety from Thompson & Morgan Seeds in the United Kingdom. I waited this long to grow it, because a friend of mine gave a review that the fruit was incredibly and unpleasantly acidic. I am very glad that I took a chance this season. I purposely grew Venus under an overhang, out of the rain, to control the amount of water received during fruit ripening. This made a huge difference, because the fruits tasted pleasantly sweet as well as acidic to me. It was not as sweet as Jochalos, but then, what is? I did like it very much and will grow Venus again.
The coin in my photos is not a US coin, but it is about the size of a US silver dollar.
