    • “Annie’s Singapore” is a crazy-good little red grape tomato. And it is crazy that it is so good! The history of Annie’s Singapore is, “Seeds were picked out of a tomato in a meal on a flight to Singapore, by a lady named Annie. She sowed seeds and cultivated this delicious tomato. The seeds from her tomatoes have been distributed to other tomato growers.” I obtained my original seeds from a very kind lady in Denmark, who is also a member of my gardening forum. My seeds did not come from Singapore. Let me tell you, I really didn’t expect anything remarkable from a plain red grape that probably had commercial origin. I was expecting to taste a typical “grocery store” tomato. And the plant itself didn’t lead me to think anything different. Regular plant, covered in red grape tomatoes. Okay, so productivity is great. Then I tasted the first fruit. I had to taste more. My tasting notes: “YUM!!!! Red grape, good shelf life, NOT crunchy when ripe, 0.5 ounce, early, and prolific. And YUM!!! Very sweet and tangy.” So this one is going on my WOW! list, though never expected that it would before I tasted it. Hooray for Annie!
