“Floragold Basket” is a micro-dwarf variety, producing large gold (yellow orange) cherries, and able to be grown indoors with bright, direct lighting, or outside in a small basket. One reviewer stated that production was limited and that the taste was sharp. This was from a trial in British Columbia. In my Florida garden, it was prolific for its size and the fruit tasted more sweet than acid when fully ripe. Floragold Basket was bred by the University of Florida, and may see its best performance in a hot and humid climate. I grew this in a 10″ basket hanging over the Bunny Garden, and I counted at least 20+ large cherries from an 8″ tall plant.
NOTE: New stock is limited until my winter crop is harvested. Until then, all micro-dwarf varieties will be limited to one packet per variety per order. This way everyone has a better chance to try them before current stock is sold out. Thank you!
