A good friend inspired me to re-introduce Magnum Beefsteak and I’m glad he did!  This large, red, slicer grows in the 12-16 oz. range for me but can grow larger. Production is excellent and the flavor is  old time”tomato-ey”.  Magnum Beefsteak is surprisingly early for a large beefsteak – my sister, in short-season Montana, was able to get a good crop of ripe fruit. This Chuck Wyatt creation is one of my favorite red tomatoes and I recommend it for both novice and experienced growers. (See Chuck’s own description below.)
