“Sonora” is an Anaheim variety with mild heat. It can grow quite large, 10” long and 1 ½” wide. Sonora can be used in the red ripe state; however, it is most often used as a mild green chile in dishes such as chiles rellenos. I have grown this one for two years now, and it does very well even in my humid climate.
