    • “Sweet Orange II” is reported to be an advanced generation of the original Fruity Mix from Peter’s Seed and Research. This is one of the five orange cherries I trialed for comparison this year. The texture was meaty and firm…probably the firmest of the five varieties I grew, but not crunchy. The flavor was sweet and fruity, but lighter…perhaps less cloying…than my other orange cherries. This is a good cherry for nibbling, versus popping whole into the mouth, due to the texture and flavor.
