Trontarolo is a gorgeous sweet horn-shaped pepper from Italy. It grows quite large, which in my garden, is a very welcome characteristic. This year I grew Trontarolo from a seedling I planted in November as a germination test. I saved the babies and set them outside under my tent in 3 gallon pots. In March I transplanted two of these seedlings to a 10 gallon fabric grow bag. With a foil water pan under it, the plants grew very large and festooned themselves with an impressive number of very long fruits. My peppers in general seemed to love the worm castings I tried in their soil mix, and they also seemed to like the grow bags and early start. This is a great pepper for multiple uses, giving the sweet flavor without the indigestion. Highly recommended.
