“Wunderbar Cherry Red” is a lovely small red cherry with purple shoulders. I first grew it at the F4 generation in 2018 and found a red rather than pink cherry. A gentleman in our gardening forum originally gave me the seeds, and here is his description: “Wunderbar Cherry is a segregation that I selected from Reinhard Kraft’s Antho Rotbraun F3 grow out. It was a superb cherry tomato that looked different from the pictures of the F2. Wunderbar is the German word for wonderful. I thought that I would stabilize this segregation and give it a new name. It has a German name in honor of Reinhard. I think that you will like them. They are productive and a treat to eat. Wunderbar is a clear skinned pink cherry tomato with anthocyanin.” As I stated, I had a red cherry rather than pink. I have been growing it now and then since 2018 and still have a red version. Since I do love this little tasty gem, I will share it at this point. Be aware, however, that there may still be a small chance of producing a pink version rather than red. I am listing this as a developing variety.
