“Yellow Balcony” (БАЛКОНІВ ЖОВТИЙ; BALKONIV ZHOVTYY) is a micro-dwarf tomato that produces pretty yellow pearls on a 12” plant. These start as lemon yellow and progress to a golden yellow at full ripeness. It was the earliest micro-dwarf I grew this winter, next to Yellow Canary, against which it tied closely. The flavor is more tart than sweet, but full-bodied, like a red tomato normally has. The translation for this variety is from Ukrainian rather than Russian, so I will just say that the variety appears to come from the Ukraine. NOTE: All micro-dwarf varieties are limited to one packet per variety per purchase. This way everyone has the chance to try them before stock runs out.
