“NuMex 6-4” is a workhorse green chile variety that I love for its great flavor and versatility. It tastes sweet to me when roasted, even when green. NuMex 6-4 is mild enough to use in any dish that needs green chiles, no matter who is eating it…perhaps children or people who cannot tolerate high pungency in a dish. It is also quite prolific and produces pods that vary from 4 to 7”.
