Gondwana Moon
$2.60
“Gondwana Moon” is a short dwarf variety developed by Patrina Nuske-Small from one of two crosses…and I am going to guess from its yellow color that it came from Destiny F1 – Dainty F1 (Summertime Gold PL x Sleeping Lady) X Indigo Rose. It was perhaps named after the ancient supercontinent Gondwana, also called Gondwanaland. There are several other Gondwana lines with gorgeous colors; this one is “moon” with yellow small globes and purple (anthocyanin) tops. The flavor was balanced and refreshing but not strong in the 1.5 to 2 ounce fruits. Although it is not stated, I think this is a determinate dwarf. My plants grew to under 3 feet tall in a 7 gal pot. Gondwana Moon was a good little producer for me; however, I lost many fruits to cracking (big splits) after heavy summer rains (over 1 inch of rain in an hour). NOTE: One packet per order please.
