“Greek Rose” makes consistently sized medium to large pink beefsteaks. This is not a rare variety but it is a very good one. I compared notes with other gardeners, and they generally had large fruits, which does not surprise me, since I could win the World’s Smallest Tomato award with any variety in my garden…it is a very short season. The flavor is sweet and the texture is succulent. The fruits are produced deep inside the plant, which makes it great for those who fight sunscald on their tomatoes, but difficult for me to keep the fruitworms away from those developing green fruits. Productivity was fair to good for me, and good to excellent for others. Greek Rose is said to have come from Crete; however, I cannot verify this history.
