Jalapeño M is a nice, productive pepper, said to be from Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico; however, I believe that history references the origin of jalapeños in general, rather than being specific to Jalapeño M. I like to use this one to make smoked jalapeño-lime sea salt because the plant gives plenty of fruits.
