Aji de Sazonar is a seasoning pepper from Cuba. The name has a somewhat literal translation of “seasoning chile.” In a difficult growing year for peppers, this plant was eaten to the ground twice by crazed bunnies in my garden. It managed to regrow to a height of 4 feet tall (in the ground) and festooned itself with fruits before first frost in November. I was able to save a handful before frost, but if the plant did not have such setbacks, the productivity would have been very high. This is a very easy to grow seasoning pepper for many Cuban (and other!) dishes.
