“Golden Hour” is a little mysterious to me. It is a cross by Mark Seabolt using Brad’s Atomic Grape and a micro-dwarf variety. The listing in Wild Boar farms describes it as being F7 in 2023, and growing as an indeterminate from 10″ to 20″ tall. That’s a pretty big height differential. If it is indeterminate and 20″ tall, I don’t consider it a true micro. I grew 12 plants, each in 2 gal grow bags, and not a single one was over 12″ tall. They stopped growing in height and put on tons of chunky (0.7 to 1.5 oz) oval fruits. My plants do not appear to be indeterminate. Golden Hour can definitely be grown as a micro-dwarf from my seeds, although I cannot claim from only one season of growing that it is a true micro-dwarf…perhaps a short balcony dwarf? From reports of reaching 18″ tall from others who have grown it, perhaps it was not entirely stable in growth habit when released? Golden Hour prolifically produced elongated stubby bullet-shaped cherries ranging from 0.5 to 1.5 oz. I found the flavor very sweet at full ripeness, and the coloring is lovely, a gold and red bicolor with stripes and anthocyanin dusting. This is a WOW! Variety. NOTE: One packet per order please.
