“Haruki” is a new bush (determinate) tomato from the University of Hawaii at Manoa (College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources) as a replacement for Anahu and Healani. I will continue to grow Anahu, Healani, Kewalo, and Neptune; however, Haruki is a wonderful new addition to my red round tomato collection that performs like a workhorse in hot and humid conditions. The fruits are very juicy, with a good strong, but balanced, tomato flavor. Caution: the stink bugs love it…they always know the fruits with the strongest sugar and acid combination.
