Micro-Gemma
$2.70
“Micro-Gemma” was released around 1999 by the combined efforts of J.W. Scott, B.K. Harbaugh, and E.A. Baldwin. Micro-Gemma was the result of a cross between Fla. 7565, an inbred closely related to “Micro-Gold,” and “Sugar.” The breeders selected for sweet but tomato-like flavor. The breeders stated that Micro-Gemma is resistant to fusarium wilt race 1 and gray leafspot, just as Micro-Tina is. The fruits are yellow and sweet yet balanced with acid, but small (about 0.3 oz), similar to Micro-Tina’s fruits in size. The plants are 8″ to 10″ tall, and daintier than Yellow Canary.
