“Negrillo de Almoguera” is an heirloom from the Basque region of Spain. It sets meaty, gorgeous purple beefsteaks (clear epidermis verified purple color), and it really prefers lots of room for the roots. My in-ground plant dodged the bacterial wilt and nematodes and produced at least four times the fruits that my plant in the 10 gallon pot did. The flavor is rich and smooth and one of those tastes that somehow registers on my taste buds as slightly salty. NOTE: My germination results were 100%. But the seeds are very small, so I am worried that germination will be less than what I found. I am marking these as possibly low germination and reducing the price for that reason.
