“Prescott Cherry” is the pinkest red tomato I have ever seen. I verified several times that the epidermis is yellow, because my eyes kept telling me that the tomato was pink. It is technically a red cherry, however. This is a variety proven through time to grow in dry elevated geographic conditions. Repeatedly grown by a family in Prescott, Arizona. These range in shape from oval to slightly rounded. I thought at first that this was a variety grown in high heat; however, when I looked at the climate of Prescott, I realized that annual temps, due to the elevation, are actually much lower than my garden. Also, the nights are much cooler. Prescott Cherry performed very well, though, in my merciless hot, humid, high night temp conditions. The fruits are meaty and strongly flavored, not sugar sweet. This is a great cherry to assert itself in your mixed salads, holding its own against arugula and other strong greens, with a complementary sweet dressing such as Vidalia onion, honey mustard, or a sweet vinaigrette.
