“Raindrop” is one of those varieties I created that can be grown to balcony sized (2ft tall) in a pickle bucket or it can be grown as a micro-dwarf (12-15”) in a 1-gallon pot. Raindrop came out of a cross I made between Yellow Canary and a developing variety from Indian Stripe x Green Sausage (that cross was made by my friend Timothy T). The fruits at first varied between some GWR and some yellow, and the shape was initially round cherry that elongated and developed into rather elongated little pears. Raindrop fruits are around ½ to ¾ ounce and have a fresh balanced flavor at FULL RIPENESS and excellent texture. This appears to be a stable variety at this time; however, I have been wrong before, and I have to remember that one parent was an unstable cross itself. I will list it as a developing variety. I believe if there is any variation it may be between the elongated pear shape and more of a bullet shape in the fruits. NOTE: One packet per order please.
