  • “Geranium Kiss” is a very short dwarf with multiflora trusses that bear pretty little red cherries with sharp nipple tips. The fruits are about 1 ounce and have an excellent, balanced flavor. I grew this variety in a 1-gallon milk carton, in a 2-gallon grow bag, and in a pickle bucket and noted best productivity in the grow bag and pickle bucket. My climate makes it very hard to get fruit from multiflora varieties, and I am not sure exactly why. I believe it is the humidity and heat together, along with the extremely heavy morning humidity that causes the pollen to clump. If I don’t set the plants out early in the spring when there is wind and lower humidity, the trusses will load with blooms but will set very few fruits. I have heard that growers in better climates have excellent fruit yields with Geranium Kiss. I could classify this variety as a balcony dwarf, as they plants have stayed in the 2 to 3 foot tall range for me. Geranium Kiss was bred by the late Dr. Alan M. Kapuler of Peace Seeds in Oregon.
