“Guardian Angel” is a bonus that appeared when I was growing the unstable “Fairy Tale Angel.” The size and shape are different, Guardian Angel being more of a little dumpy pear shape rather than the smaller slender bullet with rounded end. Guardian Angel fruits are around 1 to 1.5oz, and the color seems to be warmer than Fairy Tale Angel. It does have a clear epidermis, but at full ripeness seems to develop a blush that turns from eggnog to almost light apricot in color. It is very interesting. The fruits are firm but juicy with balanced good flavor. This is definitely not a dainty hanging basket plant as Fairy Tale Fairy is. This is a robust indeterminate non-dwarf variety that should produce much better in a 5 to 7 gallon pot instead of the 2 gal pot I grew it in this year and last year. Next season I will grow it in a larger pot in upright support with a 4 ft cage. In full sun you might see a little bit of anthocyanin near the stem end; however, in shade and the heat of summer the fruits may not show antho. NOTE: One packet per order please.
