“Ghost Cherry” is a great saladette for someone who wants to grow something radically different than the grocery store slick red paintballs. It is white, with a soft suede-like skin…not really fuzzy angora, but with the gene that makes an almost tacky feel and seems to lack the waxy cuticle normally seen and felt.

This variety takes quite a while to set fruit, I would estimate around 80-85 days, which surprised me for a saladette variety. It has a mild, sweet flavor with flesh that becomes very soft when overripe.

I can see a great potential use for this one as a kabob grilled tomato or other purpose that requires marinating whole. The skin should accept a marinade without repelling it as the thick waxier cuticles do.
