“Kookaburra Cackle” is a 2015 development of the Dwarf Tomato Project, from a segregate of the cross named “Plentiful.” Plentiful is the result of a cross between Wilpena F2 and Cherokee Purple made by Patrina Nuske Small.
I grew salad and slicer sized fruits, rich chocolate colored with a yellow epidermis. The flavor was robust and tangy at full ripeness, and once swallowed, sweetness lingered in my mouth. Kookaburra Cackle handled the heat and humidity better than many of the Dwarf Tomato Project releases have been for me, and was more productive.
