“Pinocchio” is reportedly a sibling line of Orange Pinocchio/Pinocchio Orange. The fruits are cherry red. Initially, I made an unfavorable comparison between the two varieties, as that year Pinocchio really didn’t demonstrate any sweetness. This year, with more careful watering, sugars were present and this became a good little micro-dwarf variety to add to our collection. It does have a strong tomatoey flavor, and if sugar is not present to balance the acid, it is just too strong for my liking. Decrease watering as the fruits ripen, and you will hopefully taste an excellent sweet and tart tomato.
NOTE: New stock is limited until my winter crop is harvested. Until then, all micro-dwarf varieties will be limited to one packet per variety per order. This way everyone has a better chance to try them before current stock is sold out. Thank you!
