“De Pera Rosado” is reported to be a Spanish heirloom or regional selection, literally translating to something like “Rose Pear,” or “Pink Pear.” Which is odd, since this is a red tomato with a yellow epidermis. It also has long-keeper qualities, as you can see from the lighter flesh color with darker gel in the photo. I waited several weeks, but it did not ripen further during that time. This seems to be a great tomato for keeping to have fresh cooking fruits in the winter. I would use it for sauce and the like.
