“Small Lemon” (Nebol’shoy Limon; НЕБОЛЬШОЙ ЛИМОН) is a yellow-fruited micro-dwarf that most likely came from Eastern Europe, perhaps from Russia. I cannot locate the origin of this variety, although in my search I did find a great recipe for Tarhun lemonade using mint, tarragon, lemon juice, lime juice, sugar…but I digress. The cherries were firm and rather meaty, with balanced refreshing flavor. They varied from 0,35 to 0.55 oz and began as lemon yellow, gradually darkening to a golden yellow at full ripeness. My plants were 12” to 14” tall in a 5 gal pot.
